Welcome

  We are Mieke and Joost, once a young, thoughtless Belgian couple  and so we discovered the joy
  of Portuguese life through the years. In 1999, we managed to turn a  jungle in the shadow of the
  Serra da Estrela into a magnificent quinta. After a period of many sleepless nights, blood, sweat
  and tears, Toca da Raposa was born.

 

  We, your hosts, still run the place. In the meanwhile our family expanded with two rascals, Matte
  (°1998) and Seth (°2003), who cheer up our little paradise, situated in a quiet neighbourhood.

  Today, we offer you a budget-friendly, ecological camping nearby Meruge, a picturesque village. It is a
  specific chosen spot surrounded by oaks, pines, mimosas, olive trees and all kind of fruit trees. You
  can easily relax beneath their shadow.

  Backpackers, motorcyclists, cyclists, families with children throughout the world are our beloved
  guests. We fluently speak Dutch, Portuguese, English, French and also a mouthful of Spanish.

  Our intention is to offer you a holiday to your liking. We like to welcome you in a familial and warm
  atmosphere. You have the opportunity to get acquainted with the country life. We provide you a
  pleasant, carefree stay under a luminous sun. And last but not least, we welcome you warm
  hearted.
